Swatch Group is hiring a Sales Associate (fixed-term, 35h/week) in Montpellier, France — temporary contract 02.05–31.05.2026.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service through personalised advice, product demonstrations and active listening to understand client needs.
- Meet and exceed individual and store sales targets through consultative selling and upselling of watches and accessories.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately: process transactions, returns and after-sales paperwork; manage cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation.
- Maintain merchandising standards: stock replenishment, visual merchandising, window displays and housekeeping to Swatch brand guidelines.
- Support inventory management: receive and unpack deliveries, conduct stock counts and report discrepancies.
- Participate in store promotions, launches and events; communicate product features, materials and technical benefits to customers.
- Collaborate with store team to ensure a seamless client experience and contribute to a positive, service-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- Legal right to work in France for the duration of the contract and availability for the specified dates (02.05.2026–31.05.2026).
- Previous retail sales experience; experience in watches, jewelry, luxury or premium accessories is strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Basic numeracy and proven experience handling cash and POS transactions accurately.
- Flexible availability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as required.
Skills
Experience
Previous retail sales experience is required; 1+ year is preferred, ideally within watches, jewellery, premium accessories or fashion. Demonstrated success meeting sales targets and working with POS systems is expected.
Education
Secondary education (Baccalauréat or equivalent) preferred; vocational retail or sales training is an advantage.
