Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process and final inspections of watch components and finished products using precision measuring instruments and optical aids.
  • Execute dimensional and functional tests according to defined control plans, work instructions and quality standards.
  • Record inspection results, complete quality documentation and report non-conformities; initiate corrective actions and non-conformance reports.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify root causes of defects and support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, corrective/preventive actions).
  • Maintain calibration and condition of measuring equipment; participate in periodic equipment verification and traceability activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and internal quality procedures in the production area.

Qualifications

  • Vocational diploma (CAP/BEP) in watchmaking, precision mechanics, or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Good manual dexterity, visual acuity and attention to detail suited to micro-assembly and inspection tasks.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret dimensional tolerances.
  • Knowledge of basic quality tools and procedures (inspection plans, non-conformance reporting, corrective actions).
  • Proactive team player with strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to testing and documentation.

Experience

Entry-level to 2 years' experience in quality control within watchmaking, precision mechanics or a closely related manufacturing environment preferred. Prior exposure to micro-mechanical inspection and production-floor quality processes is advantageous.

Education

CAP/BEP in watchmaking, precision mechanics or equivalent vocational qualification.
