Swatch Group in Kallithea, Greece seeks a Polisher to perform precision finishing on watch cases and bracelets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute precision surface finishing of watch cases, bracelets and small components to meet maison quality standards (mirror polishing, satin/brushed finishes, chamfering).
- Operate and maintain polishing equipment and hand tools, including rotary polishers, polishing wheels and ultrasonic cleaners, applying pastes and abrasives according to specification.
- Interpret technical drawings and finishing instructions to reproduce surface textures, tolerances and edge definitions.
- Inspect finished parts under magnification and perform corrective rework to eliminate scratches, tool marks and surface defects.
- Document process steps and quality checks; escalate non‑conforming items to watchmaking supervisors.
- Maintain a tidy workbench and comply with workplace safety and material handling procedures for metals and polishing compounds.
Qualifications
- Proven manual dexterity and fine motor control; exceptional attention to surface detail and texture.
- Experience in watchmaking, jewelry or precision metal finishing — ability to reproduce specified finishes consistently.
- Familiarity with polishing compounds (e.g., diamond paste), abrasives and a range of finishing wheels and cloths.
- Ability to read basic technical drawings and finishing specifications.
- Good visual acuity under magnification; steady hands and patience for repetitive, detail‑intensive tasks.
Skills
Experience
Preferably 2+ years of hands‑on experience in polishing or finishing within watchmaking, jewelry or precision metal workshops; apprenticeship experience acceptable.
Education
Vocational training or apprenticeship in watchmaking, metalworking, jewelry benchwork or an equivalent technical certificate is preferred.
Workplace
This position is based in Kallithea, Attica, Greece, within easy reach of Athens.
