Role & Responsibilities
- Provide pragmatic legal advice across all facets of business law to support the Tissot brand and internal stakeholders.
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, distribution and agency agreements, supply and service contracts, and partnership documentation.
- Advise on corporate and governance matters, regulatory compliance and risk mitigation across cross‑border operations.
- Coordinate and manage external counsel on litigation, arbitration and specialised matters; oversee dispute resolution strategy.
- Collaborate closely with commercial, product, marketing and compliance teams to enable projects with clear legal frameworks and timely guidance.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of corporate policies, contractual templates and internal training on legal best practice.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in law (Master of Laws, JD or equivalent).
- Admission to the bar or equivalent in a recognised jurisdiction preferred; eligibility to practise in Switzerland is an asset.
- Deep knowledge of Swiss commercial and corporate law and proven ability to handle cross‑border legal issues.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and interpersonal skills; capacity to translate legal risk into practical commercial solutions.
- High level of professionalism, discretion and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, matrixed international environment.
Skills
Experience
Several years of post‑qualification experience in business/commercial law, gained in a reputable law firm or in‑house legal department; experience with international, cross‑border transactions and working alongside commercial teams is highly valued.
Education
Master's degree in Law (LL.M., JD or equivalent); bar admission preferred.
