Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to business units on commercial, corporate and regulatory matters to support day‑to‑day operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, distribution and service agreements, NDAs and licensing arrangements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Swiss and international laws and internal policies, including data protection and competition rules.
  • Support corporate transactions, due diligence and governance matters in coordination with external counsel and cross‑functional teams.
  • Manage relationships with external law firms and oversee litigation or dispute resolution when required.
  • Develop and maintain standard legal templates, policies and training for business stakeholders to mitigate corporate risk.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in law (Master/LL.M. or equivalent) with admission to practice in Switzerland preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss corporate and contract law, with practical experience applying cross‑border legal principles.
  • Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements and to advise non‑legal stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills; discretion and sound commercial judgment.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or German is advantageous given the Biel/Bienne bilingual environment.

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of professional legal experience in a law firm or in‑house legal department, preferably with exposure to multinational or consumer goods companies; experience with the watch or luxury goods sector is an advantage.

Education

Master's degree in Law (LL.M. or equivalent); admission to the Swiss bar or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
