ETA Thailand, a Swatch Group subsidiary and leading manufacturer of electronic and micro-mechanical components established in 1985, seeks an Integration Engineer to join its IT Applications Division in Bangkok. The role involves designing, developing, and operationally supporting integration solutions across Swatch Group companies and markets, with particular focus on webMethods infrastructure and API management. The successful candidate will serve as a technical authority on integration architecture and middleware best practices, managing client relationships whilst delivering world-class integration solutions spanning REST/SOAP APIs, ERP integrations, and enterprise messaging systems.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support integration solutions within the Group IT Applications Division for global company markets
- Implement integration solutions between Swatch Group companies and markets using webMethods product suites
- Provide operational support for the Integration Landscape infrastructure, solutions, and applications
- Act as the technical contact for clients on webMethods solutions, integration architecture, and API Management best practices
- Develop webMethods flows, Java services, and manage migration of interfaces across multiple file formats for inbound and outbound flows
- Build and manage REST and SOAP APIs using API Gateway
- Integrate with messaging systems (JMS, Universal Messaging), databases (MSSQL, MariaDB), SAP and JDBC adapters
- Manage client expectations and communication services (ServiceNow, Demands, Projects, Change requests, Incidents)
- Provide status updates to key stakeholders on project progress, highlight project risks, and propose mitigation plans
- Create and maintain technical documentation for projects and runtime monitoring
Qualifications
- IT degree or Master's degree in Information Technology or related field
- Minimum 8–12 years of IT experience, including at least 2 years designing and developing integration solutions
- Strong knowledge of webMethods product suites (Integration Server, Designer, API Management, Universal Messaging, My webMethods Server/TN, Business Rules, MFT, Unit Testing Framework)
- Knowledge of clustering, load balancing, and high availability for webMethods runtime components
- Experience with REST and SOAP API development using API Gateway
- Proven ability to work on delivery projects using multi-environment webMethods deployments
- Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP ERP systems
- Familiarity with various integration protocols (SFTP/HTTPS/SMB) and data formats (IDOC, Flat File, XML, JSON, SOAP)
- Basic Linux/Unix Administration knowledge
- Excellent problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting ability

At least 8–12 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 2 years dedicated to designing and developing integration solutions. Demonstrated expertise in delivering integration projects within multi-environment webMethods infrastructures, with hands-on experience integrating both SAP and non-SAP ERP systems. Proven track record of adapting solutions to client requirements whilst maintaining adherence to enterprise best practices and frameworks.
Education
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
