Swatch Group in Biel/Bienne seeks a Corporate Controller — join the Corporate Controlling team at the Group headquarters to lead consolidation and reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Produce and review consolidated Group financial statements and management reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Coordinate month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting deliverables.
- Lead budgeting, rolling forecast and long‑range planning cycles; perform variance analysis and present insights to senior management.
- Maintain and enhance group accounting policies and consolidation procedures; ensure consistent application across subsidiaries.
- Support statutory and audit processes, liaising with external auditors and local finance teams to resolve accounting and disclosure issues.
- Drive continuous improvement of internal controls and financial processes to strengthen governance and reporting efficiency.
- Partner with business units and functional stakeholders to translate operational performance into precise financial metrics and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent; advanced degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and group consolidation principles.
- Proven ability to prepare and interpret complex management reports and financial statements.
- Excellent analytical capabilities with a structured, detail‑oriented approach to problem solving.
- Demonstrated experience working with multicultural teams in a multinational corporate environment.
Skills
Experience
Several years of progressive experience in corporate controlling, group reporting or financial management within a multinational manufacturing, retail or luxury goods environment, with hands‑on responsibility for consolidations, budgeting and audit coordination.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; master's degree or professional accounting certification preferred.
