Swatch Group seeks an Accountant in Miami, FL to manage general ledger, month‑end close and financial reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare timely, accurate journal entries to support month‑end and year‑end close activities.
- Perform account reconciliations, variance analysis and balance sheet reviews to ensure integrity of financial statements.
- Prepare monthly management reporting packages and ad‑hoc financial analyses for regional and corporate stakeholders.
- Support statutory reporting and ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Coordinate and execute intercompany settlements and reconciliations across legal entities.
- Manage fixed asset accounting including capitalization, depreciation and disposals.
- Provide substantive support for internal and external audits, supplying schedules and explanations as required.
- Collaborate with treasury, tax and operational teams to resolve accounting queries and streamline processes.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and system implementations relating to the accounting function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent is advantageous.
- Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP and strong technical accounting fundamentals.
- Proven analytical acumen and attention to detail with the ability to deliver against tight month‑end deadlines.
- Effective communicator with ability to liaise across finance, commercial and operational teams.
Skills
Experience
Typically 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate finance or shared services environment, preferably within manufacturing, retail or consumer goods. Experience supporting external audits and month‑end close is expected.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA) preferred.
