Swatch — Deputy Store Manager (30–38.5 h/w) in Graz. Lead sales, support store operations and ensure brand standards at Sporgasse 1.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as the store manager’s deputy and assume full managerial responsibility in their absence, ensuring continuity of operations and leadership.
- Lead, coach and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets while maintaining exemplary customer service standards.
- Drive clienteling activities and cultivate long-term customer relationships through personalised service and after-sales care.
- Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, POS reconciliation and adhering to loss-prevention policies.
- Execute visual merchandising and brand presentation standards to maximise product appeal and seasonal campaigns.
- Manage inventory processes: stock replenishment, stock-taking, shrinkage control and communications with distribution/warehouse.
- Prepare and deliver regular operational and sales reports to regional management and contribute to local business planning.
- Coordinate staff rotas, training and performance feedback to build a high-performing retail team and ensure compliance with workplace regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory or assistant management experience in retail (preferably watches, accessories, jewellery or fashion).
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable track record of meeting sales targets and driving conversion.
- Excellent interpersonal and clienteling skills with a customer-first orientation.
- Competence in cash handling, POS operations and basic store financial controls.
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays as required by retail operations.
- Legal right to work in Austria.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a retail environment, ideally within watches, jewellery or premium fashion; experience leading small teams and managing daily store operations is required.
Education
Completed secondary education; vocational training in retail, commerce or a related discipline is advantageous.

The successful candidate will be located in Graz, Styria, Austria.
