Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in delivering sales targets and operational KPIs for the Robson Street location.
  • Lead, coach and motivate the sales team to provide exceptional, brand-consistent client service and to maximise conversion and average transaction value.
  • Manage daily store operations including staff scheduling, opening/closing procedures, cash handling and point-of-sale reconciliation.
  • Oversee merchandise presentation and local implementation of visual standards and promotional directives.
  • Conduct inventory controls, assist with stock replenishment and coordinate with regional operations to minimise shrinkage.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, loss-prevention protocols and health & safety requirements.
  • Resolve client issues and complex service requests while protecting brand reputation and building long-term client relationships.
  • Train new hires on product knowledge, sales techniques and store procedures; participate in performance reviews and talent development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role within retail, preferably watches, jewellery or fashion.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing a small sales team.
  • Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to handle escalations and preserve client loyalty.
  • Competence in cash handling and basic financial reconciliation procedures.
  • Flexibility to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends and peak holiday periods.
  • Post-secondary education in business or retail management preferred; high-school diploma required. Bilingualism (English/French) or additional language skills are an asset.
