Swatch (Swatch Group Canada) seeks an Assistant Store Manager at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, Toronto — lead retail teams and drive sales in a design-led watch boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and KPIs for the Yorkdale Shopping Centre boutique.
- Coach, motivate and develop the sales team to deliver exceptional clienteling and personalised service.
- Lead daily store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling and reconciliation.
- Maintain merchandising standards and implement brand visual directives to maximise product presentation.
- Manage inventory control processes: stock replenishment, cycle counts and shrinkage prevention.
- Assist in recruitment, rostering and performance management to ensure adequate floor coverage.
- Resolve complex client enquiries and escalations while protecting brand reputation and client relationships.
- Drive promotional execution and local marketing initiatives in coordination with regional retail leadership.
- Enforce loss-prevention policies and maintain compliance with company procedures and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in retail, preferably within watches, jewellery or luxury fashion.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and coaching frontline teams.
- Strong numeracy and organisational skills with experience in cash handling and basic P&L awareness.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; client-focused with polished presentation.
- Right to work in Canada and flexibility to work retail hours including evenings and weekends.
Skills
Experience
At least two years of progressive retail experience with supervisory responsibility; prior exposure to luxury watches, jewellery or premium accessories strongly preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, retail management or a related discipline is an asset.
