Swatch seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Palermo, Italy to support store operations, lead the retail team and drive sales at the corporate store.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in delivering daily store operations, ensuring adherence to Swatch brand standards and operating procedures.
  • Drive sales performance and achieve store KPIs through active selling, coaching and motivating the retail team.
  • Lead, develop and schedule store staff; oversee onboarding, training and performance management.
  • Deliver exceptional client experience and clienteling activities to build loyalty and repeat business.
  • Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, receiving, pricing and cycle counts to minimise shrinkage.
  • Coordinate visual merchandising and window displays to maintain brand presentation and seasonal campaigns.
  • Oversee cash handling, POS transactions and daily banking procedures; ensure compliance with cash controls.
  • Prepare operational reports, sales forecasts and contribute to local business planning and loss-prevention initiatives.
  • Support opening/closing procedures and assume Store Manager responsibilities in their absence.

Qualifications

  • Proven retail supervisory experience, preferably within watches, luxury accessories or premium consumer goods.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop and lead a small retail team to meet sales targets.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing inventory, sales reporting and basic P&L awareness.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Organisational aptitude for scheduling, store administration and operational compliance.
  • High level of personal integrity and attention to detail in cash handling and loss-prevention processes.
  • Availability to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays.
