Swarovski is seeking a Senior Buyer in Gdansk, Poland, to manage purchasing, supplier selection and negotiations, purchase orders and requisitions, procurement compliance, and day-to-day claims. The role requires at least five years of Buyer experience, procurement process and system knowledge, and fluent English; German is an asset. Full-time role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Purchase goods and services within the value limits defined in the Corporate Procurement Guidelines.
- Select suppliers from the defined supplier pool.
- Negotiate terms and contract new suppliers.
- Solicit, track and collect vendor quotes, and prepare them for review with the business.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Corporate Procurement guidelines and policies.
- Build, document and continuously update market and product knowledge for defined goods and services.
- Create and track purchase orders; track and check purchase requisitions.
- Collaborate closely with the local country organization and Spokes.
- Support material groups and categories in claim management and handle day-to-day claims.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Buyer.
- Knowledge of operational procurement processes and systems; SAP MM and SAP Ariba knowledge is an asset.
- Fluency in English; German is an asset.
- Degree, preferably in Purchasing, Logistics or Business Administration.
- Customer service orientation, a strong understanding of service partnerships, and good communication and negotiation skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset, process orientation and a solution-delivery-oriented approach to work.
- Strong coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines.
