Swarovski is seeking an SAP Technology Engineer in Bandar Bayan Baru, Malaysia, to shape SAP platform architecture and standards, guide the SAP landscape, oversee managed service partners, and evaluate emerging technologies. The role provides architectural and technical authority across SAP Basis, S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and cloud technologies, with routine operational execution delegated to external partners.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define SAP Basis and platform architecture, standards, and roadmaps for S/4HANA, HANA, SAP BTP, and cloud technologies; serve as the technical design authority for platform decisions.
- Advise projects and stakeholders, challenge the current state, and drive standardization, automation, and cost efficiency.
- Steer managed service partners, including SAP ECS and third-party MSPs, responsible for day-to-day Basis operations; define, monitor, and enforce SLAs.
- Own governance, escalations, and accountability for delivery quality; coordinate handovers, changes, and major incidents.
- Continuously scan, evaluate, and pilot new SAP, BTP, and cloud technologies, including AI-assisted operations and automation.
- Run proofs of concept and recommend adoption in line with architecture and cost considerations.
- Provide second- and third-level guidance; routine hands-on Basis execution is delegated to managed service partners.
Qualifications
- University degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in SAP Basis architecture or platform consulting and partner management.
- Deep technical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP BTP, and cloud platforms.
- Demonstrated experience managing external service providers and ensuring SLA adherence and operational excellence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a passion for automation, innovation, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and business decisions across multiple teams.
