About Swarovski
Swarovski began cutting crystal in Wattens, Austria, in 1895. Today its work spans crystal production, jewelry design and retail. The house also supplies crystals to designers working in fashion and couture.
Swarovski seeks a Junior Buyer to support end-to-end procurement, including supplier selection, negotiations, quotations, purchase orders, compliance and claims management. The role is full-time and based in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia, working with internal stakeholders, suppliers and the local country organization.
Role & Responsibilities
- Purchase within the value limits defined in the Corporate Procurement Guidelines.
- Select suppliers from the defined supplier pool and negotiate with them.
- Request, track and collect supplier quotations, and prepare them for business review.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Corporate Procurement strategies and policies.
- Build, document and continually update market and product knowledge for goods and services.
- Create and track purchase orders; track and check purchase requisitions.
- Collaborate closely with the local country organization and Spokes.
- Support material groups and categories with claims management and handle day-to-day claims.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Degree in Purchasing, Logistics, Business Administration or a similar field.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin; additional language capabilities are a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Customer-service orientation, strong understanding of service partnerships, and good communication and negotiation skills.
- Continuous-improvement mindset, process orientation and a solution-delivery-oriented approach.
- Strong coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems, such as SAP and ARIBA.
