Swarovski seeks a Controlling Operations Team Leader in Bayan Lepas, Penang, to lead a team of approximately 6 or more and oversee controlling operations, reporting, process excellence, governance, and Finance transformation. The role requires at least 5 years of leadership experience and expertise across FP&A, management accounting, and reporting. Full-time position with hybrid and flexible work options.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the Controlling Operations Team of approximately 6 or more people, building capability, accountability, and engagement.
- Manage team performance, workload allocation, and capacity to ensure effective delivery.
- Ensure timely, high-quality execution of recurring controlling, reporting, and closing activities.
- Manage priorities, resolve operational issues, and ensure continuity of service.
- Oversee management reporting and analytical deliverables, ensuring their accuracy, consistency, quality, and alignment with Controlling and Finance stakeholder requirements.
- Act as the key operational interface with Controlling Managers and relevant cluster and global Finance & Controlling stakeholders.
- Communicate transparently on priorities, deliverables, service quality, and operational challenges.
- Standardize, simplify, and harmonize controlling processes and ways of working.
- Identify and implement automation and productivity opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
- Ensure appropriate controls, review mechanisms, and process documentation are in place, maintaining compliance with Group policies, standards, and governance requirements.
- Support transitions, implementation of new scope, and broader Finance & Controlling transformation initiatives.
- Drive adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working, ensuring sustainable implementation within the team.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in Finance, Controlling, FP&A, Management Accounting, Budgeting, or Reporting.
- Strong knowledge of FP&A, management accounting, controlling, budgeting, and reporting, with hands-on experience in SAP FI/CO.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, SAP BW, or similar BI and reporting tools; Tableau experience is an advantage.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, data analysis, and VBA.
- A proven track record of driving process improvements, automation, and LEAN initiatives.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience leading and developing teams, including working with remote or global stakeholders.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
