Stone Island is seeking a Junior Garment Prototypist for a structured training pathway at its Ravarino site, covering industrial garment construction and prototype development. The role includes guided initial training and progressive work toward producing complete prototypes; compensation includes an €800 gross monthly expense reimbursement and free access to the company lunch service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Learn basic and advanced industrial garment construction techniques through hands-on training.
- Operate key sewing machines to make garments across different product categories, including outerwear, shirts, trousers, T-shirts and sweatshirts.
- Support the creation of prototypes and fitting samples under the guidance of the department team.
- Work with pattern makers and the Industrialization Office to interpret technical documents and carry out production steps.
- Help identify potential design issues and suggest improvements to the pattern and its industrialization.
- After initial training, assist experienced colleagues with increasingly complex operations, progressing toward making a complete prototype.
Qualifications
- Strong motivation to learn the prototypist trade in a technical and innovative environment.
- Good manual dexterity, precision and attention to detail.
- Collaborative, proactive and able to work as part of a team.
- Previous experience is not required; courses in tailoring, fashion or garment construction are an advantage.
