Sisley Industrie seeks an experienced Production Team Lead for its Blois facility. Lead a 15–20-person team and drive operational excellence. CDI position, rotating shifts.
Role & Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor quality, hygiene, safety, health and environmental policies across the assigned production area
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, quality, hygiene and environmental regulations, standards, and legal requirements
- Maintain equipment and work zones in a secure and compliant state
- Alert management to serious or imminent hazards and actively participate in safety audits and incident investigations
- Lead, motivate and supervise a direct team of 15–20 production personnel to ensure optimal team climate and morale
- Coordinate and facilitate daily team communications and rituals
- Develop and manage short- and medium-term staffing schedules, accounting for absences, holidays and skill availability
- Monitor and enforce HR compliance protocols across attendance, timekeeping, breaks and workplace conduct
- Assess personnel training requirements, certifications and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance for all team members
- Identify technical skill gaps and build workforce versatility across the team
- Participate in the design and deployment of competency development initiatives
- Conduct individual performance appraisals, motivation interviews, disciplinary meetings and return-to-work discussions as required
- Actively recruit, integrate, train and evaluate new permanent and temporary team members in coordination with Human Resources
- Validate production schedules in consultation with production planning and senior management
- Pilot production execution and ensure on-time delivery of scheduled output
- Report and escalate production variances and prioritise activities in liaison with production planning and management
- Assign personnel to production lines and manage resource allocation
- Collaborate on problem-solving with production support services
- Contribute to the development of production routing and specifications
- Deploy, enforce and communicate production instructions, procedures and standard operating procedures
- Participate in daily production meetings and continuous improvement forums
- Drive achievement of performance and productivity objectives
- Identify improvement opportunities and optimise processes to enhance mid- to long-term zone performance
- Champion continuous improvement methodologies and facilitate deployment of Lean tools with support from the Continuous Improvement department
- Drive cross-functional project execution including equipment commissioning, new product launches, pilot runs and similar initiatives
Qualifications
- Ideally educated to Bachelor level or equivalent (Bac or Bac +2)
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in a similar production team leadership role
- Proven track record managing production teams of 15–20 personnel in demanding industrial environments with stringent HSE and regulatory constraints
- Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Total Quality Management (TQM), 5S and related methodologies
- Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and standard office productivity software such as Microsoft Excel
- Strong field orientation with comfort in operational environments and ability to respond flexibly to unforeseen circumstances
- Natural leadership capability with demonstrated rigour, pragmatism and strong interpersonal skills
- Genuine passion for continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving orientation
- Self-directed and committed professional with initiative and drive to achieve production objectives whilst maintaining quality, safety and hygiene standards
