Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead, align, and drive the production planning team in support of enterprise strategic objectives
  • Define departmental strategy, establish performance targets, and foster a culture of operational excellence and results-oriented execution
  • Implement and oversee HR initiatives including organizational design, job descriptions, individual performance reviews, training plans, and attendance management
  • Ensure the integrity and robustness of Master Production Schedules (MPS) while adhering to industrial standards and reference frameworks
  • Arbitrate capacity trade-offs in response to market volatility, balancing manufacturing agility with commercial imperatives
  • Optimize working capital through precise stock level management while safeguarding customer service performance at the plant gate
  • Pilot the production budget exercise in close collaboration with finance and cost accounting functions to maximize profitability
  • Manage the strategic interface between planning and all partner departments and business units
  • Co-lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and aggregate/master production planning processes, providing forward-looking insights to guide supply chain group decisions
  • Monitor activity-level performance indicators, analyze variances, manage exceptions, and define and implement improvement or evolution action plans
  • Champion the strategic vision for process and systems improvement in core business areas including information systems, ERP, and advanced planning systems (APS)

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent (Bac+5) in Production Engineering or Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar production planning or supply chain role
  • Proven management experience, ideally within process-intensive industrial settings such as cosmetics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or food production
  • Advanced knowledge of production management and supply chain processes including quality, cost, delivery, and inventory metrics
  • Expert proficiency in planning methodologies with the ability to model complex capacity scenarios and anticipate risk factors such as shortages or excess inventory
  • Skilled in project management and organizational change leadership
  • Strong managerial competencies with the demonstrated ability to motivate and align teams around a shared vision
  • Expert command of the complete supply chain planning cycle including S&OP, master production planning (MPS), and material requirements planning (MRP) processes
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing constraints with the ability to model production realities into load plans and translate them across business functions
  • Advanced capability in inventory optimization and precise management of planning parameters
  • Operational proficiency with integrated management software (ERP) and advanced planning systems (APS)
  • Cross-functional leadership and influence: ability to align Production, Procurement, and Commercial teams around planning and production objectives without direct hierarchical authority
