Reporting to the Supply Chain department, the Order Picker selects products for shipments using a radio-frequency system, performs customer- and order-specific personalization, and follows Good Manufacturing Practices. The role covers picking, value-added services, e-commerce packing and order checks under a permanent, full-time contract.
Role & Responsibilities
- Pick items for each shipment according to radio-frequency reader instructions.
- Apply guelte labels to products when required and ensure the products placed in each shipment meet quality standards.
- Remove empty cartons via the waste conveyor as directed by the radio-frequency reader.
- Follow parcel-arrangement quality standards, meet picking-speed standards, respect FIFO processing order, and limit time spent at stations.
- Maintain preparation error rates within the team standard, adapt activity to the workload plan, and help prevent station congestion.
- Carry out inventories requested by management.
- Pick products in the VAS area and meet quality standards for applying guelte and language labels.
- Follow packaging, validation, closure and strapping standards for e-commerce orders; repackage small parcels and return products to rolls or stations.
- Inspect closed parcels diverted after weight checks, identify and correct order-preparation errors.
- Carry out customer- or order-specific personalization operations and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
