Reporting to the Supply Chain department, the Order Picker picks quantities requested by the information system to supply picking, packing and shipping areas, using an order-picking trolley and radio-frequency equipment. The role also covers inventory, labeling, pallet preparation, equipment care and workplace safety and quality standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Pick full or partial quantities assigned via radio-frequency equipment or by a supervisor.
- Verify that picked items are accurate and placed in the correct zone.
- Check the condition of picked products and parcels.
- Print labels for new handling units.
- Prepare and provide labels with details such as batch number, shade and country.
- Build pallets in accordance with safety and ergonomic requirements, including pallet height and organization.
- Carry out inventories requested by the supervisor.
- Replenish machines, labelers and workstations with consumables.
- Take care of assigned equipment, including scanners and trolleys.
- Alert a supervisor to any incidents observed.
- Follow safety rules for operating trolleys.
- Keep the work area tidy.
- Comply with company rules on quality, hygiene, safety and the environment.
Qualifications
- Logistics experience; experience in order preparation and a CACES 1 certification would be an advantage.
- Ease in handling radio-frequency equipment.
- Ability to work as part of a team, with attention to detail and quality.
- Compliance with applicable company rules.
