Sisley Industrie seeks a Maintenance & Utilities Manager in Blois, France to lead technical teams and oversee facility infrastructure. Full-time CDI position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a technical team of five direct reports, fostering professional growth and skill advancement
- Organize and oversee general maintenance and utilities operations, leveraging both in-house resources and external service contracts
- Define operational requirements and constraints; author technical specifications and service level agreements for maintenance and facility contracts
- Conduct regular contractor performance reviews, meetings, and periodic assessments to ensure compliance with agreed standards
- Ensure operational readiness and reliability of utilities infrastructure and building systems across the production facility
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators; identify and address operational gaps through corrective actions
- Establish and propose comprehensive maintenance policies for general facilities and utilities operations
- Develop preventive maintenance strategies and establish equipment replacement plans based on performance data and asset lifecycle analysis
- Prepare and justify maintenance and capex budgets to senior leadership; oversee budget tracking and cost management within the assigned scope
- Supervise and coordinate technical projects—including equipment upgrades, obsolescence management, and new acquisitions—with emphasis on energy efficiency and environmental impact reduction
- Maintain complete traceability of all interventions and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, process maintenance, quality assurance, HSE, and human resources teams to align with industry referentials and applicable legislation
- Participate in equipment qualification and requalification initiatives in partnership with quality assurance teams
- Champion a quality-oriented culture through documentation development, continuous improvement initiatives, and lean working groups
- Ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance across all assigned facilities and activities
- Enforce and promote adherence to safety, quality, hygiene, and environmental standards in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
Qualifications
- Engineering school degree or equivalent technical qualification
- Approximately ten years of combined technical, operational, and managerial experience in maintenance and utilities
- Significant track record managing general maintenance and utilities activities or projects
- Professional experience in demanding regulated environments, ideally cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or food production
- Pragmatic, service-oriented mindset with strong proactive approach
- Demonstrated leadership capability and proven ability to build, motivate, and upskill technical teams
- Strong capability to prioritize tasks, delegate effectively, and work hands-on with team members
- Solid technical foundation with affinity for field-based operations and project delivery
- Rigorous analytical approach with strong sense of ownership
- Demonstrated expertise in cross-functional collaboration and matrix management

Education
Engineering school degree or equivalent technical qualification in mechanical engineering, facilities management, or related discipline.
