Sisley Paris seeks an experienced Director of Store Planning in Paris to oversee international retail development and CAPEX execution across luxury flagships and boutiques.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead strategic retail project execution from feasibility studies to shop opening, ensuring brand standards, technical compliance and financial targets are met
- Direct international CAPEX initiatives, including flagship boutiques, owned-retail on-street locations, shop-in-shop concepts, and specialty activations
- Manage project phases including briefs, feasibility analysis, vendor selection, contract coordination, construction supervision, defect resolution and handover
- Oversee technical evaluations and landlord negotiations on Tenant Criteria Manuals, ensuring local regulatory and technical compliance
- Champion value engineering and cost optimization across international projects whilst maintaining brand excellence standards
- Supervise a team of 2 store planners, providing professional development and resource allocation aligned with CAPEX priorities
- Coordinate seamlessly across internal teams (legal, procurement, IT, regional leadership) and external partners (architects, contractors) across multiple project phases
- Develop and maintain project management tools, databases, and reporting dashboards (JIRA, weekly retail scorecards) for multi-project oversight
- Conduct post-project analysis to identify process improvements and optimization opportunities
- Stay current with innovative materials, technical solutions, and regulatory requirements relevant to retail development and compliance
Qualifications
- Architecture degree (DPLG/HMONP) or equivalent engineering qualification (Building/Technical Project Management)
- Significant experience in Technical Project Management or International Store Planning, preferably within premium retail, luxury or cosmetics
- Proven expertise managing owned-retail openings across street-level and shopping centre/airport environments
- Strong technical knowledge of construction disciplines (TCE, HVAC/MEP, structural standards)
- Track record of delivering ambitious international CAPEX programmes with demonstrated cost management and value engineering capability
- Fluent English proficiency (both conversational and technical/contractual construction terminology)
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate with international landlords and navigate complex approval processes
- Established leadership presence with capability to influence executive committees, regional directors, legal teams and global external partners

Education
