Reporting to the Director of ERP and Data, this role oversees data projects across the Retail segment, balancing strategic requirements with operational delivery. The successful candidate will define data and reporting needs across retail functions, coordinate technical implementation across modelling, integration, and visualization workstreams, ensure production support and system maintenance, and champion organizational capability through user enablement and technology foresight.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define data and reporting requirements across retail business units in collaboration with stakeholders
- Lead and monitor implementation of data projects, coordinating across technical teams (modelling, integration, visualisation)
- Ensure production support and ongoing maintenance of data systems within assigned scope
- Organize and facilitate user acceptance testing and training programmes
- Monitor emerging technologies and trends in data analytics and artificial intelligence relevant to the retail environment
Qualifications
- Higher education degree in Information Technology or related discipline
- Significant experience in data project management
- Understanding of data architecture patterns including Data Lake, Data Hub, Data Lab, and Data Warehouse environments
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated rigour, autonomy, responsiveness, and analytical thinking
Skills
Experience
Significant professional experience in data project management, with demonstrated ability to manage complex technical initiatives and coordinate cross-functional teams. Knowledge of retail business operations is advantageous.
Education
Higher education degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
