Shiseido is hiring a Workplace Engagement Intern in Singapore for its Shiseido NEXT Internship Programme 2027. The intern will support employee engagement and wellness initiatives, reception and office operations, onboarding and events, while collaborating with regional colleagues; the role offers regional exposure, meaningful projects, mentorship and professional development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Organize initiatives that promote collaboration, foster belonging and strengthen the One Shiseido identity, including planning events, creating communication campaigns, conducting surveys, analysing feedback and assisting with wellness programmes.
- Manage the front desk and visitor management.
- Assist with and execute employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including office tours, workplace engagement induction and preparation of welcome packs for new hires.
- Manage access cards; update and maintain the directory; maintain office and seating plans; source and manage pantry inventory; and receive and arrange outgoing deliveries while maintaining mailroom tracking and storage organisation.
- Respond to employee queries and feedback.
- Execute employee engagement and wellness initiatives and activities in the Singapore office to promote workplace culture and strengthen belonging across three business entities.
- Partner with HR colleagues in Malaysia on employee engagement and wellness initiatives and activities that promote workplace culture and strengthen belonging.
- Track the workplace engagement activity budget.
- Update HR SharePoint with Workplace Engagement content supporting regional resources.
- Support the Workplace Engagement team in advancing and amplifying people-focused initiatives and events.
- Communicate effectively about office matters and events, and present proposals to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate in a Bachelor's degree or local diploma programme.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy in literacy and numeracy.
- Discreet and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Meticulous, with strong attention to detail.
- Able to work independently on assigned responsibilities.
- Able to articulate ideas and propose changes to processes and ways of working.
