Shiseido seeks a Production Manager in East Windsor, New Jersey, to execute weekly production plans and lead safety, quality, productivity, and continuous-improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Role & Responsibilities
- Execute the weekly production plan while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met and cGMP and OTC procedures are followed.
- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvements in quality, efficiency, and team development, ensuring operations are performed effectively without compromising safety or quality.
- Develop direct reports through mentoring, constructive feedback, and training.
- Support supervisors in managing daily departmental activities.
- Lead projects that drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
- Participate in weekly OEE meetings and lead initiatives to improve OEE.
- Partner with the Quality department to resolve finished goods nonconformances and identify corrective actions.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve RTFT.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the organization's vision, mission, and values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering.
- At least five years of experience managing a fast-paced GMP production environment.
- Experience in the cosmetics or pharmaceutical industry.
- Ability to build high-performing teams and deliver results.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
- Lean Six Sigma certification; Green Belt certification preferred.
- Ability to conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
- Ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) required for the work area or tasks, which may include eye protection, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, or additional protective clothing.
