Shiseido seeks a third-shift Maintenance Mechanic to support daily production packaging and manufacturing operations and keep equipment in proper working order at its manufacturing and packaging facility. The role performs equipment changeovers, repairs and preventive or predictive maintenance, and supports safety and equipment-effectiveness initiatives; an hourly rate may vary by geographic location, with a discretionary annual bonus potentially offered.
Role & Responsibilities
- Set up equipment and perform product changeovers as needed to support the daily production schedule.
- Troubleshoot and repair production packaging lines efficiently and safely to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventive or predictive maintenance on production filling and packaging equipment and/or bulk manufacturing batching (compounding) equipment, completing the required documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Support efforts to measure and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) for primary filling and packaging equipment.
- Communicate effectively with peers and management to support company goals and objectives.
- Facilitate and support a safe working environment; maintain required safety certifications and training, including lock-out/tag-out.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school graduate with training from a trade school, vocational school, or apprenticeship program.
- At least 7 years of experience in a GMP environment, such as cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceuticals, food, or related consumer goods.
- Mechanical repair background with advanced knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and equipment.
- Familiarity with packaging filling and assembly equipment; familiarity with bulk manufacturing (batching) equipment is a plus.
- Working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Working knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of basic machine shop equipment.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
- Positive leadership qualities and interpersonal skills.
