Shiseido seeks a Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic to support daily production and keep manufacturing equipment in proper working order. The role includes equipment changeovers, vessel repairs, preventive and predictive maintenance, and OEE improvement; split-shift hours are 10:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. The position may offer a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay and benefits.
Role & Responsibilities
- Set up and change over equipment as needed to support the daily manufacturing schedule.
- Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing vessels safely and efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventive or predictive maintenance on bulk manufacturing batching (compounding) equipment and complete required documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Support efforts to measure and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) for manufacturing vessels and compounding equipment.
- Communicate effectively with peers and management and support company goals and objectives.
- Help maintain a safe working environment and keep safety certifications and training current, including lock-out/tag-out.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school graduate with training from a trade school, vocational school, or apprenticeship program.
- At least 7 years of experience in a GMP environment, such as cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceuticals, food, or related consumer goods.
- Mechanical repair background and advanced knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and equipment.
- Familiarity with bulk manufacturing (batching) equipment.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of basic machine shop equipment.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
- Positive leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, which may include eye protection, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, or additional protective clothing.
