Shiseido is hiring a Distribution Center Operations Supervisor for its Groveport, Ohio distribution center to lead associates and oversee accurate, timely order processing, staffing, productivity, training and workplace safety. The role requires at least 2 years of distribution center leadership experience and availability to work after hours 2–3 days per month; the position is identified as first shift.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise associates performing distribution center functions, including picking, packing, auditing, shipping, receiving, stocking and replenishment, operating warehouse equipment, and coordinating work between departments.
- Monitor associate conduct and performance, ensure adherence to work procedures, processes and system requirements, and maintain established productivity standards.
- Track and report productivity statistics, identify trends and anticipate needs, and adjust staffing accordingly.
- Enforce company policies and procedures and administer disciplinary action as needed.
- Coordinate regularly with distribution center leadership to align activities with productivity goals and operating objectives, including key performance indicators.
- Train and develop associates, ensuring they are properly trained on power equipment, WMS, RF and other distribution technology.
- Promote a safe work environment and enforce safety and security policies.
- Monitor daily operations, generate reports, analyze production data, direct employee assignments, identify capacity levels and make adjustments to meet deadlines.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback; address employee relations issues and ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws.
- Maintain strong working relationships with business partners.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in a distribution center environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Access database; working knowledge of WMS, RF and related distribution center technology.
- Experience with Blue Yonder or another relevant WMS/LMS is a plus.
- Strong management, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent project management and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to interpret detailed data, draw business conclusions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Availability to work after hours 2–3 days per month to support end-of-month shipments.
