Shiseido is hiring a Compounder for its manufacturing and packaging facility in East Windsor, New Jersey. The role prepares raw materials, compounds bulk products, operates and sanitizes equipment, and records production data while meeting quality and safety requirements; the position is on the second shift.
Role & Responsibilities
- Pre-weigh chemicals required for production batches.
- Complete batches safely and on time while meeting quality specifications.
- Weigh, mix and heat materials according to the formula, procedures and instructions to ensure finished products meet customer requirements.
- Produce bulk product using a multiple-phase batch-making process.
- Record production data on batch records, including raw materials used, quantities and time intervals.
- Perform tasks efficiently and accurately; understand process flow charts and recognize discrepancies or conflicts.
- Visually inspect products, detect problems and correct them.
- Manage changes throughout the workday.
- Identify equipment issues and report them to management.
- Transfer materials to the appropriate kettle or mixer.
- Clean and sanitize equipment before or after manufacturing.
- Operate equipment across all work centers.
- Perform tasks carefully, accurately and efficiently in accordance with instructions and quality and safety standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of GMP and OSHA safety regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Effective time-management skills, good mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to use computers.
- Ability to reach, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to use all required protective and safety equipment.
- Ability to follow through on assignments and complete them competently and on time.
- Positive leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include eye and hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves or additional protective clothing.
