Shiseido Automation Maintenance Technician

Role & Responsibilities

• Perform duties in accordance with company and site-specific safety policies and procedures.
• Run automated production lines, including robotics, HMI screens, conveyors and automated packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot and correct material-flow issues in systems.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical and computer-system issues, escalating as appropriate.
• Set up equipment and verify its functionality and safety.
• Operate production lines and equipment, including safety start-up, clearing jams, manual operations and format changes.
• Troubleshoot and make process adjustments to improve run time.
• Conduct changeovers and equipment adjustments without mechanical support.
• Achieve required efficiency and throughput on automated lines.
• Measure and record data associated with equipment operation.
• Run the assigned operation and complete reporting, including parts-completion and downtime reports.
• Work in a team environment.
• Support departmental and organizational goals and objectives.
• Follow all GMP and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the organization’s vision, mission and values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent technical training.
• Ability to communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Ability to understand and read HMI faults and troubleshooting information.
• Understanding of PLC ladder logic.
• Understanding of SMED.
• Ability to understand and integrate equipment parameters.
• Practical attitude and ability to learn new skills.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required, including eye and hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves or additional protective clothing.
