Sephora Canada (Montreal) is hiring a Talent and Store Operations Manager to lead recruitment, training and store operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage all people-related and operational activities for a designated Sephora store, including recruitment, onboarding and ongoing team development.
  • Lead final interviews for key store positions and use the applicant tracking system to recruit, select and hire candidates as required.
  • Design and execute the store’s continuous training strategy in collaboration with the Store Director and education partners; oversee education, certification and skill development for Beauty Advisors.
  • Conduct timely annual performance reviews for direct reports and oversee the performance management process for the entire store; address performance issues and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Own store operational excellence: ensure execution of company processes and standards for shipping, receiving, returns, cycle counts and inventory controls.
  • Prepare and manage store scheduling, zone allocations and payroll processes; monitor controllable expenses and contribute to revenue and staffing optimisation.

Qualifications

  • Two to four years’ experience in a similar role in a store of comparable sales volume, or equivalent internal retail experience.
  • Proven track record recruiting, developing and retaining high-performing retail teams, including selecting and developing store leaders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence business partners at all levels.
  • Solid commercial acumen and understanding of store-level P&L, payroll and controllable expenses.

Experience

Two to four years in a comparable people-and-operations role within a retail environment of similar sales volume, or equivalent internal experience supporting recruitment, training and store operations.

Education

Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred; equivalent retail leadership experience will be considered.

The successful candidate will be located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 54,800 to CAD 68,500 per annum.
