Sephora Canada (Waterloo) is hiring a Talent and Business Operations Manager, Stores to lead people, training and store operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own people and operations functions for an assigned Sephora store, ensuring execution of company standards across all operational processes.
- Act as Talent Champion: conduct final interviews for key positions and manage sourcing, selection and hiring using the applicant tracking system.
- Design and manage the store’s ongoing training and onboarding strategy in partnership with the Store Director and Education partners.
- Write and deliver annual performance reviews for direct reports, manage performance situations and ensure timely improvement feedback.
- Lead store operational activities including shipping, receiving, returns, cycle counting and inventory controls to meet company guidelines.
- Manage staffing, zoning, scheduling and payroll controls; monitor store sales performance and other controllable expenses.
- Serve as an on-floor leader who can influence business partners at all levels and drive outstanding client service through team development.
Qualifications
- Two to four years’ experience in a similar role at a comparable-volume retail store or equivalent internal experience.
- Proven ability to attract, identify and develop store leaders and to build high-performing teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Demonstrated experience in performance management, delivery of feedback and conducting formal reviews.
Skills
Experience
Two to four years in a comparable retail people-and-operations role at a similar-volume store, or equivalent internal experience within a large omnichannel retailer.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary diploma or degree in business, human resources, retail management or a related field preferred.

The role is situated in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada — conveniently close to Toronto.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 54,800 to CAD 68,500 per annum.
