Sephora Canada — Toronto: Talent and Business Operations Manager, Stores. Lead hiring, training, scheduling and operational excellence for a flagship store.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead all people-related activities for the assigned store, including recruitment, final interviews for key positions, hiring and onboarding using the company applicant tracking system.
  • Design and deliver the store’s training and development strategy in partnership with Store Director and Education partners; manage ongoing education for beauty advisors.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports and oversee performance management processes for the entire store, delivering timely feedback and improvement plans.
  • Own store operational excellence: ensure execution of company operational standards, manage shipping/receiving/returns, cycle counting and inventory controls.
  • Manage store scheduling and staffing/zoning, monitor payroll and other controllable expenses, and provide analytical insight into store sales performance.

Qualifications

  • Two to four years’ experience in a similar role at a comparable-volume retail store or equivalent internal experience.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop and retain retail talent and to build cohesive, sales-driven teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in performance management, training program delivery and operational process execution.
  • Ability to perform physical stock duties (lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend and stretch to stock shelves).
  • Eligible to work in Canada.

Experience

Two to four years’ experience in a similar people and operations role within a comparable-volume retail environment, or equivalent internal progression at a large retail brand.

Education

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 54,800 to CAD 68,500 per annum.
