Sephora Shanghai: Supply Chain Financial Planning Manager role overseeing inventory forecasting, OPEX planning, and commercial finance strategy.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end financial planning for inventory, including stock depreciation, sell-in, and OPEX planning across monthly closing and budgeting cycles
- Ensure timely communication with supply chain teams to capture real-time inventory status and forecast risk and obsolescence provisions in accordance with approved action plans
- Spearhead annual physical inventories at stores and warehouses, refining standard operating procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance
- Monitor inventory health metrics such as days of inventory and product lifecycle indicators to identify and mitigate obsolescence risk
- Develop qualitative and quantitative analyses to forecast inventory provisions and support financial decision-making
- Partner with commercial teams to evaluate promotional pricing strategies and quantify the financial impact of discounts on aged or near-expiry inventory to optimize margin protection
- Build financial simulation models to support strategic decisions regarding stock liquidation and clearance channel optimization
- Act as primary finance liaison between supply chain, sales, and operations, translating complex inventory data into actionable business insights
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Finance or a related discipline
- Minimum five years of professional experience with demonstrable supply chain expertise
- Finance business partner or inventory accounting experience highly valued
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and cross-functional influencing skills
- Strong business acumen and logical analytical thinking
- Self-starter with a pronounced sense of responsibility and ownership
