Sephora hiring Supervisor, DC Inventory Control in Avon, IN. Evening shift (Mon-Fri 5pm-1:30am). $75,140–$83,980 annually.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision to a team of Inventory Control employees, including Workflow Coordinators and Associates, and manage relationships with onsite staffing agencies for temporary workers
  • Spend approximately 75% of time on the operational floor driving engagement, coaching, teaching, and providing performance feedback to team members
  • Effectively manage the allocation of equipment and labor resources to meet service levels and budgets consistently
  • Ensure that quality and accuracy control audits are conducted regularly and address discrepancies
  • Administer policies and guidelines affecting work activities, including counseling associates on performance and behavioral concerns
  • Set and clearly communicate productivity expectations for team members and conduct annual performance evaluations
  • Identify and prioritize daily business tasks to meet operational goals and prepare incoming shifts for effective transitions
  • Ensure a safe working environment by driving safety strategies, recognition, and accountability across the team
  • Identify process improvements and partner with leadership to implement changes that enhance efficiency, quality, and service
  • Assign work, ensure completion dates are met, and maintain consistent application of organizational policies specific to inventory control
  • Resolve operational problems through comprehensive analysis and present solutions to senior leadership
  • Build trust with direct and indirect business partners by explaining business processes and decision-making rationale
  • Plan and execute effective strategic and efficient cycle counting activities and physical inventories
  • Regularly update and align on Inventory Control Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with the Operations team
  • Ensure all inventory control associates receive proper training, skill development, assessment, and cross-training as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a logistics-related field, or five to ten years of relevant warehouse or inventory control work experience
  • Previous experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ability to quickly develop proficiency in such systems
  • Knowledge of JDA WMS preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal and human relations skills
  • Strong written and oral communication capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with confidence
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop both self and others
  • Ability to analyze problems and create solutions
