Supervisor, DC Inbound Operations – Sephora, Avon, IN. Lead night shift inbound operations in a high-volume distribution center.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of skilled employees, including temporary agency staff, with direct accountability for day-to-day department operations within the distribution center
- Spend approximately 75% of time on the operational floor, coaching, teaching, and providing performance feedback to associates while driving results toward established operational goals
- Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks necessary to meet daily business objectives and prepare incoming shifts for smooth transition and start-up
- Set and clearly communicate productivity expectations, performance standards, and behavioral guidelines to team members
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and service delivery by identifying operational bottlenecks and partnering with leadership to effect change
- Administer company policies and guidelines fairly, providing consistent counseling on performance and behavioral concerns while creating documented action plans as needed
- Drive safety strategies, recognition programs, and accountability measures to ensure a safe work environment for all team members
- Support the company's engagement strategies by observing employees, coaching on job-related activities, and providing timely constructive feedback

Qualifications
- 3–5 years of equivalent work experience in high-tech distribution center operations
- At least 2 years of direct people leadership experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Proficiency with computer systems and store management software
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly; capacity to bend, stretch, and stand/walk for entire shifts
- Flexible availability to work nights, overnights, weekends, early mornings, and holidays as operational needs require
- Demonstrated resilience and ability to respond to in-the-moment situations while remaining aware of shifting operational priorities
Skills
Experience
3–5 years of direct experience in high-tech distribution center operations, coupled with a minimum of 2 years leading and developing teams in a fast-paced warehouse or fulfillment environment. Prior experience supervising temporary agency employees and managing night shift operations is strongly valued.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; further education or relevant certifications in operations management or logistics is preferred but not required.
