The Store Operations Manager leads Sephora store operations in Montreal, overseeing operational standards, inventory, visual merchandising, cleaning teams, supplies, team performance and budgets while supporting clients and beauty advisors on the sales floor. This is a permanent, full-time position with annual compensation of CAD 54,800–68,500, performance bonuses, a competitive benefits program and training and development initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of store operations, including the operations team, and regularly support operations staffing, the overnight stock team, operations leadership and execution of Sephora operating standards.
- Lead store operations and ensure all operational processes are executed in accordance with company standards.
- Manage store inventory, including shipping, receiving, merchandise returns and cycle counts, ensuring processes comply with company guidelines and deadlines.
- Manage visual merchandising concepts and sales-floor visual elements in line with company standards.
- Manage internal or third-party cleaning teams, provide feedback and coaching, and escalate issues when necessary to ensure agreed standards are met.
- Manage the processes required to maintain the store’s budget and appropriate quantities of supplies, testers and samples.
- Participate in managing performance-related situations within the operations team; provide timely feedback to team members and follow up as needed.
- Regularly serve as the manager on duty and collaborate with beauty advisors and clients on the sales floor where possible.
- Act as an expert on store revenue, staffing and payroll processes, as well as other controllable store expenses, and develop budget strategies.
Qualifications
- Two to four years of experience in a similar role at a store with an equivalent sales volume, or equivalent internal experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence business partners at all levels clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to build teams by attracting and selecting talented store leaders who can train and develop team members to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service.
