Sephora Canada — Store Operations and Talent Manager in Toronto. Lead recruitment, training, scheduling, payroll and store operations at ON–Yonge & Eglinton.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the people and operational functions of the assigned store, reporting to the Store Director and partnering with Client Experience and Beauty Services leadership.
  • Own recruitment and talent acquisition for the store: conduct final interviews, use the applicant tracking system to source/select candidates, and hire across all store positions.
  • Design, implement and manage onboarding and ongoing training strategies in coordination with Education partners to drive product knowledge and service excellence.
  • Create and approve weekly schedules, manage time-off requests, and oversee the store payroll process to ensure accurate and timely submission in line with regional guidelines.
  • Deliver annual performance reviews and manage performance improvement processes, providing timely feedback and coaching to develop in-store talent.
  • Ensure operational excellence across inventory management (shipping/receiving, returns, tester and supply control, cycle counts), visual and process standards, and loss-prevention procedures.
  • Monitor store sales performance and controllable expenses; act as a subject-matter expert on staffing, payroll, and productivity metrics.
  • Maintain flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays and perform light-to-moderate physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of supervisory or management experience in beauty, retail, or customer service environments (equivalent internal experience accepted).
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting, staffing and hiring across store roles, including leadership positions.
  • Proven ability to build, coach and retain high-performing teams and identify in-store talent for development.
  • Sound judgment and managerial courage; able to have difficult conversations and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule and meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Experience

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 54,800 to CAD 68,500 per annum.
