Store Manager role at Sephora Stuttgart, Germany – Full-time permanent position leading retail team and commercial performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and develop Assistant Managers and store employees through coaching, performance appraisals, and career development planning
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets with focus on year-on-year growth
- Analyze retail key performance indicators (IPT, AVB, Conversation Rate, Market Share) and implement strategies to enhance store performance
- Ensure exemplary visual merchandising standards and timely implementation of brand campaigns and animations
- Create staff schedules and daily deployment plans while optimizing floor zoning and customer coverage
- Oversee inventory management from receipt through storage, write-offs, returns, and tester management
- Conduct store opening and closing procedures, including cash register reconciliation
- Maintain store compliance with Sephora audit standards and operational routines
- Evaluate customer feedback and implement service improvements to exceed client expectations
- Report on maintenance issues, merchandise discrepancies, and operational KPIs to Area Management
- Conduct employee inductions and coordinate training programs to ensure brand consistency
- Foster relationships with retail partners and support collaborative projects with Area Managers
Qualifications
- Completed retail training or equivalent formal education
- Minimum 4–5 years of retail experience, preferably in luxury beauty or prestige retail
- Proven management and team leadership experience with an empathetic leadership style
- Strong customer-facing background with demonstrated ability to develop employees
- Excellent communication and delegation capabilities
- Solution-oriented, hands-on approach with high presence on the sales floor
- Proficiency in SAP and Excel (or equivalent retail management systems)
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of retail experience, with at least 4–5 years in a supervisory or management capacity. Prior experience in the beauty or prestige retail sector is preferred. Demonstrated success in driving sales growth, team development, and operational efficiency within a multi-brand or specialty retail environment is essential.
Education
Completed secondary education with retail training or equivalent professional qualification in retail management.
