Sephora is hiring a full-time Store Manager for its City Point Brooklyn location to lead daily operations, client experience, sales, and team development in a high-volume environment. The role is permanent and requires on-site work, including evening, weekend, and holiday availability, as well as the stated physical duties. Annual base salary is $93,800–$114,850, with potential bonus eligibility.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily store operations to deliver an elevated client experience and drive sales and profitability in a high-volume environment.
  • Lead, coach, inspire, and develop a diverse team, fostering growth, accountability, and achievement of performance goals.
  • Attract, recruit, and onboard talent to build an inclusive team that embodies Sephora’s values and delivers signature service.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide actionable feedback and mentorship to support team members’ development and engagement.
  • Promote ongoing learning through coaching, open dialogue, and resources for associates and leaders.
  • Deliver outstanding service, resolve client concerns, and drive engagement through loyalty programs and personalized experiences.
  • Maintain a visually inspiring, immaculate store and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and brand guidelines.
  • Optimize inventory and staffing resources, adapting to shifting priorities and opportunities.
  • Set strategic direction, champion store culture, drive store results, and execute business plans to achieve targets.
  • Build trust, clarity, and enthusiasm with team members and senior leadership; manage conflict, facilitate complex discussions, and ensure alignment.
  • Balance store operations with business growth while creating personalized experiences that foster client loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Maintain availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend and stretch to stock shelves, stand and walk the sales floor throughout the shift, work in a fragrance-filled environment, and handle and apply products to clients, with or without accommodation.

  • Demonstrated success as a Store Manager in high-volume, complex retail or hospitality environments.
  • Ability to set strategic direction, champion store culture, drive store results, and execute business plans to achieve ambitious targets.
  • Strong ability to recruit, inspire, and develop talent and foster an energetic, collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust with teams and senior leadership, manage conflict, facilitate complex discussions, and ensure alignment.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 93,800 to USD 114,850 per annum.
