Sephora Canada seeks a Store Director in Toronto to lead sales, operations and people development at ON-Stock Yards Village.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and own the end-to-end store P&L, forecasting sales and payroll with the District Manager and delivering on sales plans and operating profit targets.
  • Drive a best-in-class client experience through coaching, visual merchandising, services and effective use of loyalty programs and events.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard and develop store leadership (Managers, Leads) and frontline talent; create a coaching culture with regular feedback and quarterly development plans.
  • Monitor daily, weekly and monthly sales metrics and KPIs; analyze trends and implement corrective strategies to maximize productivity and conversion.
  • Manage merchandising and inventory activities, conduct inventories, maintain accurate records and escalate stock issues to stakeholders.
  • Ensure operational compliance with Sephora concepts, policies and loss-prevention programs while controlling expenses and staffing to budget.
  • Plan and manage store scheduling to cover peak shopping periods including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of senior management experience in beauty, retail or customer service with responsibility for P&L and team leadership.
  • Proven track record coaching and developing high-performing teams, including recruiting and hiring across all store roles.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with experience analyzing sales trends, achieving targets/KPIs and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written communication, time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfort with managerial accountability including delivering difficult feedback and resolving escalated people or operational issues.
  • Proficiency with Windows, Word and Excel.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays; ability to bend, stretch and lift up to 50 pounds as required by store operations.

Experience

Education

Post-secondary diploma or equivalent combination of education and significant retail management experience; formal business or retail management credential preferred.
