Role & Responsibilities
- Forecast sales and payroll with District Manager; monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales results and communicate performance to staff members
- Manage and measure the effectiveness of business strategies; adjust tactics as needed to achieve store sales plans and operating profit targets
- Develop strategies to grow business by leveraging the customer loyalty program, events, product knowledge, and retail services
- Maintain optimum store staffing levels to deliver exceptional client experience while adhering to budgetary constraints
- Recruit, interview, and hire personnel for all store positions in accordance with business needs and workforce planning
- Train, coach, delegate to, supervise, and motivate Assistant Managers and Supervisors to develop their leadership capabilities and business acumen
- Ensure a coaching culture that includes timely recognition of successes and constructive feedback on development opportunities
- Conduct quarterly development meetings and plans with all team members
- Conduct inventories on a timely basis and maintain accurate inventory records
- Communicate inventory issues and operational concerns to the District Manager and key stakeholders
- Make strategic and innovative merchandising decisions in accordance with Sephora concepts to drive business growth
Qualifications
- 5 years of management experience in the retail or service industry
- Proven experience recruiting, staffing, and hiring across all store positions, including leadership roles
- Effective time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to maintain composure and demonstrate managerial courage in challenging situations
- Ability to analyze sales trends and react appropriately to market dynamics
- High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
