Sephora Canada seeks a Store Director in Ottawa, ON to lead store operations, sales and people development (CAD$82,200–102,700).

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the store’s financial performance: forecast sales and payroll, monitor daily/weekly/monthly results, and achieve sales plans and operating profit targets while managing expenses.
  • Lead people development and human resources activities: recruit, hire, train, coach and evaluate department managers, leads and store staff to build high‑performing teams.
  • Create and sustain a coaching culture through regular feedback, quarterly development meetings and on-the-floor mentorship to develop leadership capabilities.
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience by ensuring merchandising, services and loyalty-program initiatives align with Sephora’s concepts and brand standards.
  • Manage merchandising and inventory operations: conduct inventories, maintain accurate stock records, resolve inventory discrepancies and make strategic merchandising decisions to grow business.
  • Ensure operational compliance with company policies and store procedures, including loss prevention, health & safety and payroll administration.
  • Plan and execute local store events and activations to leverage product launches, the loyalty program and beauty services to drive traffic and conversion.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of senior management experience in beauty, retail or customer service with a proven record of leading multi‑disciplinary store teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and coach managers and store associates to deliver sales and service targets.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience analysing sales trends, managing budgets and delivering against KPIs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; proven capability to manage difficult conversations with managerial courage.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays and ability to perform physical tasks including bending, stretching and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Experience

Education
