Sephora seeks a Store Director in La Roche-sur-Yon, France. Permanent full-time role leading store operations, sales and a retail team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as the local ambassador for the brand and ensure the store delivers the company’s strategic project and commercial objectives.
- Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing retail team; recruit, train and coach managers and advisors to elevate commercial and service standards.
- Define, monitor and evaluate sales targets and KPI performance for the store and for Sales Managers, deploying corrective and innovative action plans where required.
- Drive commercial performance across product and service categories through coaching on clienteling, sales techniques and conversion strategies.
- Oversee visual identity, merchandising and in-store standards to guarantee coherent brand presentation and customer experience.
- Manage stock and inventory controls in line with company processes, and ensure operational excellence in daily store management.
- Ensure compliance with HR processes, retail procedures and corporate policies, and foster a culture of safety, integrity and inclusivity.
- Analyze sales and HR metrics to inform staffing, assortment and promotional decisions and report results to regional leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven retail leadership with a minimum of 10 years' experience, including several years in store management.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train and develop managers and sales teams to achieve commercial targets.
- Strong commercial orientation with a track record of driving sales, conversion and customer retention.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to cultivate an inclusive, customer-centric culture.
- Analytical aptitude to interpret sales and HR indicators and translate insight into actionable plans.

Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive retail experience, including multiple years in store management; experience in beauty or luxury retail strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

This position is based in La Roche-sur-Yon, Pays de la Loire, France, within easy reach of Nantes.
