Sephora Canada seeks a Store Director in Kitchener, ON to lead retail operations, sales, and team development at its Fairview Park location.
Role & Responsibilities
- Forecast sales and payroll with the District Manager to drive store results and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance
- Manage and measure the effectiveness of business strategies, adjusting tactical approaches to achieve store sales plans and operating profit targets
- Develop strategies to grow business through leveraging customer loyalty programs, events, product knowledge, and services
- Maintain optimum staffing levels to deliver exceptional client experience while adhering to budgetary goals
- Recruit, interview, hire, and develop team members across all store positions, including leadership roles
- Train, coach, delegate to, supervise and motivate Assistant Managers and Supervisors to develop their leadership and business skills
- Establish and maintain a coaching culture that includes timely acknowledgement of successes and constructive feedback on opportunities
- Conduct quarterly development meetings and create individual development plans for all team members
- Conduct timely inventories and maintain updated inventory records
- Communicate inventory issues and concerns to the District Manager and key stakeholders
- Make strategic and innovative merchandising decisions in accordance with Sephora's brand concepts to drive business growth
Qualifications
- 5 years of management experience in the retail or service industry
- Proven experience recruiting, staffing, and hiring across multiple store positions, including leadership roles
- High School diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Effective time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to maintain composure and exercise managerial courage in challenging situations
- Ability to analyze sales trends and react appropriately
- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
- Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Experience
5 years of management experience in the retail or service industry, with demonstrated expertise in recruiting, staffing, and hiring across store positions including supervisory and leadership roles.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 82,200 to CAD 102,700 per annum.
