Sephora UK is hiring a Store Director in Dartford (Bluewater) to lead the flagship store’s commercial, operational and people strategy.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own the full commercial and operational performance of the Bluewater store, driving top- and bottom-line results through strategic planning and execution.
  • Translate market analysis, competitor intelligence and customer trends into actionable merchandising, assortment and promotional plans.
  • Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing management team to deliver exceptional customer experiences and meet sales targets across categories (including exclusive brands and Sephora Collection).
  • Set and uphold service standards via on-floor leadership and real-time coaching; use customer metrics (e.g., Love Meter) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure operational excellence across stock management, cash handling, replenishment and visual merchandising in partnership with Operations, Cash and Stock Managers.
  • Design and deliver immersive in-store events and educational experiences with Customer Experience, Beauty and Services Managers; conduct post-event performance reviews.
  • Manage workforce planning, scheduling and annual leave to maintain strong floor coverage and cost efficiency; partner with Recruitment to build talent pipelines.
  • Communicate business priorities clearly to the team and foster an inclusive, development-focused store culture aligned with Sephora values.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years' experience in senior retail leadership roles, managing large store teams and complex operations.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving commercial growth across multiple categories.
  • Demonstrable experience in operational disciplines: stock control, cash compliance, replenishment and visual standards.
  • Strong leadership and people development capability with experience coaching managers and building high‑performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and translate insight into strategic action.
