Role & Responsibilities
- Open and close the store as required, including Sunday and holiday coverage during leave periods
- Receive merchandise and manage product transfers between locations and returns to the distribution centre
- Execute inventory counts and maintain FEFO stock organization standards
- Process cash reconciliation and SITEF system procedures
- Manage merchandise adjustments, damages, and expired stock according to company policy
- Coordinate employee scheduling and support HR functions including admissions, departures, leave, timekeeping, benefits, and occupational health
- Conduct property inspections, stockroom audits, and security checks
- Monitor and address employee concerns, performance issues, and policy violations in a timely manner
- Ensure store maintenance, safety standards, and cleanliness throughout the sales floor and backstage areas
- Oversee test item inventory and sample distribution across assigned zones
- Maintain legal documentation and safety compliance records including fire suppression equipment certification
- Operate point-of-sale systems and provide cash drawer management when needed
- Execute daily task list items and communicate operational challenges to store management
- Assume full store management responsibilities during manager absence
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in retail or administrative operations
- High school diploma or equivalent (university degree preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Critical thinking and logical reasoning abilities
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and operational excellence
- Experience with merchandise receipt systems (desirable)
- Knowledge of retail inventory management and FEFO methodology
