Sephora Canberra Centre seeks a Stockroom Manager (Inventory Controller) in Canberra, Australia — full-time role with LVMH.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own inventory accuracy for the store: plan and execute scheduled cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies to minimise out-of-stock SKUs.
  • Analyse inventory reports and sales data to inform stock decisions, reduce shrinkage and support forecasting.
  • Monitor and investigate negative stock, coordinate corrective actions with store teams and escalate as required.
  • Manage receipt, processing and replenishment of inbound stock; coordinate returns and external pick-ups with third-party partners.
  • Serve as point of contact for distribution and stock allocation decisions, liaising with Supply Chain and Planning stakeholders.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives in back-of-house operations and drive adherence to stock control policies.
  • Train and coach wider store team on shrinkage prevention, stock handling, back-of-house procedures and visual merchandising requirements.
  • Support product launches and merchandising activities by ensuring appropriate stock levels and timely availability for the sales floor.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years' experience in retail stock management, inventory control or a closely related function.
  • Proven track record across cycle counts, product launches, visual merchandising support, returns management and shrinkage control.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret inventory and sales reports to make data-driven stock decisions.
  • Experience supervising or coaching store teams and collaborating with cross-functional supply chain or planning partners.
  • Physical capability to lift and move merchandise (packs/boxes up to ~15 kg) and willingness to work a 38-hour rotating roster.

Experience

Minimum three years of hands-on retail stock management or inventory control experience, including responsibility for cycle counts, stock reconciliations, launch support and shrinkage mitigation. Experience working with retail ERP or inventory systems and supporting cross-functional supply chain processes is expected.

Education

High school certificate or equivalent required; diploma or certificate in retail, supply chain, logistics or merchandising desirable.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position is AUD 32.24 per hour.
