Sephora State Manager — New South Wales
Sephora is hiring a State Manager (NSW) in Sydney to lead store operations, drive sales and develop Store Managers across New South Wales.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a network of Store Managers across New South Wales to consistently deliver district sales, conversion and average transaction KPIs.
- Drive top-line business results through strategic planning, roster optimisation and disciplined payroll management to meet budget targets.
- Monitor daily, weekly and monthly performance metrics, produce actionable reports (e.g., match-to-traffic, units per worked hour) and present clear recommendations to field and head office stakeholders.
- Ensure operational excellence across stores by enforcing Sephora policies, partnering with Inventory Control and loss-prevention teams, and supporting new store openings and in‑store activations.
- Own the recruitment, onboarding and continuous development of Store Managers; conduct performance reviews and implement performance improvement plans where required.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, store projects and support office teams to execute campaigns, events and company initiatives that drive footfall and sales.
- Manage asset protection and inventory integrity in partnership with Inventory Control Leads to safeguard margin and stock accuracy.
- Foster a customer-centric culture, maintaining service standards and leading by example to maximise client satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of multi-site retail management experience, preferably within beauty or fashion retail.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior state/district management role or equivalent multi-site leadership.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to analyse sales metrics and translate insight into action plans.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with capability to coach and develop leaders.
- High ethical standards, flexibility to support the business and availability to travel within the state as required.
- Proven ability to manage complex rostering, payroll controls and operational processes across multiple locations.

Experience
Minimum five years of progressive, multi‑site retail management experience with prior senior state/district management responsibility preferred; experience in beauty or fashion retail advantageous.
Education
Tertiary qualification in business, retail management or a related discipline preferred — or equivalent demonstrated retail leadership experience.
